Ember Kamin
Challenge
Ember Premium is a line of wood-burning fireplaces positioned in the premium market segment, where buyers look for more than heat — they want aesthetics that complete a home's interior. Promotional materials for this type of product typically feel technical and sales-driven — lots of specifications, little atmosphere — which doesn't suit a buyer choosing a fireplace as a design piece rather than a purely functional element. We needed to find the balance between information and atmosphere that fashion or interior catalogues usually offer.
Approach
We designed the catalogue as a quiet, atmospheric document rather than a classic sales brochure: a dark, warm colour palette, large photographs of fireplaces lit in a real living-room setting, and restrained gold typography for the name 'Ember' on the cover. We deliberately left generous white space around the photographs so each image had room to breathe, instead of crowding the pages with text and prices. The catalogue's structure leads the buyer from mood and atmosphere toward technical detail only in the background, the reverse of the usual approach. We chose the cover photo so the fireplace is the only source of warm light in the frame, making the space feel instantly cosy and real rather than a sterile product shot.
Result
The result is a catalogue that reads as a representative, almost lifestyle document, suitable for presenting the product line to partners and buyers who see a fireplace as an investment in their home's atmosphere. This immediately positions Ember Premium alongside premium furniture and design brands, rather than competing purely on technical specifications. The same visual language — dark palette, gold accents, large atmospheric photography — can carry over to future materials such as a website or exhibition stand, so the impression stays consistent at every touchpoint with the buyer.
